I have been stitching...
And here are some pictures to prove it. This is the thing I made for my cousin. They bound their hands during the wedding ceremony with it. Which, I missed, because two little girls were being really bad. The Celtic Knotwork design at the ends is a freebie from Papillon Creations. The alphabet came from Lavender and Lace's Mother's Tree pattern. Oops should I say that? I'd sure hate to be in violation of some rule or something.
And this is what I stitched for Misty's Quilt Square. I had a really tough time deciding what to stitch on that fabric. Then I had a worse time trying to pick a thread color. In the end I picked that pattern because I have a thing for alphabets and I really wanted to stitch it. (It's a freebie from Better Homes and Garden, but the Australian version) And I let the ladies in my stitching group pick a thread for it. It's one of the new DMC Color Variation threads. I have to say that I really enjoyed working with it. I really made use of the fabric she sent because there isn't much margin from top to bottom. Hopefully there will be enough for her to sew around though.
